Raúl Teo Arias – 1st Violin

Raúl Teo Arias – 1st violin, born in Mexico City, received his early training from his father, the composer and conductor Prof. Emmanuel Arias. Thereafter, he studied at the Munich College of Music with Prof. Gerhard Hetzel (leader of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra) and Prof. Kurt Guntner. In 1991, he successfully concluded his master´s course.

Active as a soloist with the Munich and Bamberg Symphony Orchestras and almost all the orchestras of Mexico. Concerts in Portugal, Belgium, Spain and Italy. Teaching activities at chamber music festivals. Radio and CD recordings. Finalist at the ARD competition in Munich in 1990. Since 1993 in a leading position with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, and since February 2002, first violinist of the Bamberg String Quartet.
